The Challenge
East Riding of Yorkshire Council set out to replace the well-known Bridlington Leisure World with a modern, multi-purpose leisure facility capable of supporting a wide range of activities and high visitor volumes.
The new facility required a fully integrated, site-wide AV solution that would:

The system needed to balance performance, flexibility and long-term reliability across a complex, multi-use space.
Our Solution
Nuway designed and delivered a centralised AV infrastructure that connects all areas of the facility into a single, cohesive system.
A building-wide audio platform was installed, allowing flexible routing of music and microphone inputs across multiple zones, including pool halls, sports halls and circulation areas. Dedicated audio systems were implemented in key activity spaces, with intuitive touchscreen and tablet control to ensure ease of use for staff.
Digital signage was deployed throughout the facility, including large-format indoor displays and IP-rated outdoor screens, enabling dynamic communication for visitors across both internal and external areas.
Specialist systems were integrated to support leisure-specific requirements, including pool alarm systems and immersive fitness environments such as the MyRide spinning solution.
A large-format projection system was also introduced within meeting and multipurpose spaces, supporting presentations and community use.
The Result
The new Bridlington leisure facility now operates with a fully integrated AV and communication system that enhances both safety and user experience. From clear, site-wide audio and public address capabilities to engaging digital signage and immersive fitness environments, the system supports the diverse needs of a modern leisure centre.
Designed for reliability and ease of use, the solution provides East Riding Council with a scalable, future-ready platform that will support the facility and its visitors for years to come.
