Bristol City Council Chamber AV Upgrade Nears Completion
Nuway Audio Visual is pleased to share that the AV upgrade for the historic Bristol City Council Chamber is now nearing completion, with the project moving into its final handover and transition phase.
Following a competitive tender process, Nuway was appointed to deliver a comprehensive modernisation of the chamber’s audio-visual systems, carefully balancing advanced meeting technology with the sensitive requirements of a heritage civic environment.
The upgrade includes new projection, audio, streaming, media capture and camera systems, alongside Microsoft Teams integration, BYOD support, live transcription and multilingual captioning. Together, these enhancements are designed to improve accessibility, support hybrid participation and create a more reliable experience for both in-room and remote attendees.
As part of the final stage, Nuway is now completing handover works, providing user support and sitting in on live meetings to help ensure a smooth transition for council staff and members. This allows the new systems to be tested in real-world conditions while giving users confidence in day-to-day operation.
The project reflects Nuway’s continued experience in delivering high-performance AV solutions within listed and historically sensitive public buildings, helping Bristol City Council modernise its chamber while preserving the character of an important civic space.
